Offer description

  • Manage the overall operations of the company inside the Republic or Iraq, and apply policies currently valid by leading the operations team;
  • Direct and manage the work of the head of departments under your direct supervision such as central kitchen, warehouse, accounting team and call center through assigning tasks, delegating responsibilities, monitoring performance, and following activities executions;
  • Collaborate in the development of policies and procedures and ensures that outlets in the Republic Of Iraq are complying with those policies through continuously controlling the execution of tasks;
  • Search for best practices implemented in quick-service restaurants, and seek new ways of doing business and running the operations effectively;
  • Find adequate location to open new outlets, develop studies identifying the feasibility of projects, and prepare the opening and pre-opening of outlets in the Republic of Iraq;
  • Achieve operational objectives and projected budgeting plan through checking the key performance indicators of the business on a daily basis;
  • Develop activities and actions in accordance with predetermined objectives, track the progress toward targets, and follow the execution of the plan;
  • Control waste in outlets through applying an effective control system and track daily cost by checking numbers and percentages and insure inventory periodic reconciliation;
  • Ensure that the quality of service and taste of food items are consistent and meet brand standards;
  • Maintain the good condition of assets available in outlets;
  • Assist in developing marketing plans, and work on local store marketing in the Republic of Iraq;
  • Spot the impact of marketing efforts on sales performance in outlets and measure the return on marketing investment especially local store marketing initiatives;
  • Audit food safety policies and procedures applied in outlets in the Republic of Iraq and control health and safety indicators through keeping aware of measurement results;
  • Manage the hiring procedures of candidates in order to build a sold and efficient working team, prevent staff shortages and increase the number of qualified people who are joining the team;
  • Approve and Reject resignation and leave requests submitted by anyone from the team working in the Republic of Iraq;
  • Decide in everything related to promotion, transfer, replacement, disciplinary action, and termination;
  • Update and plan the retention of skilled human resources by developing a career path and succession plans;
  • Plan and design training programs in accordance with training needs assessment and learning strategies applied by the company;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Skills and expertise

About the Candidate:

We are seeking an experienced and professional candidate for the position of F&B / Restaurant Manager in Iraq. 

The F&B / Restaurant Manager will organize and plan the franchising department of the organization. He / She will also ensure that franchises receive the corporation’s message regarding business strategy, promotions and products as well as continuous support.


Core Mandatory Requirements:

Qualification: 

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, or in a related field;
  • An MBA is a plus.

 

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Operations manager in the F&B industry and franchise business.

 

Professional Knowledge and Skills:

  • Good knowledge in regional development of F&B;
  • Familiar with Franchising, having worked in a Franchise environment (franchisor or Franchisee);
  • Excellent research and planning skills;
  • Fluent in English and Arabic; French is a plus.

 

Mandatory Personality Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to lead a team;
  • Detail oriented, dependable, honest;
  • Flexibility and ability to travel;
  • Team player;
  • Ability to organize, set and implement priorities.
