After a career as an officer up to the rank of Lieutenant-General then at Inetum as Executive Vice-President, Patrick Destremau is Managing Director, Client Account Lead, at Accenture since this 2024.
An operational officer, he served in multiple conflicts with the most decorated regiment in the French Army, the RICM, which he commanded in 2004. He was decorated Commander of the Legion of Honour.
A staff officer and general, he held senior positions within the French Armed Forces General Staff, first in 2007 as the Director of the Program Scorpion, renewing the Army’s contact combat capabilities through a new generation of fully digitalized armoured vehicles. He was as well architect of the French Army's information systems.
In 2010, he was commissioned to design French Army investments ‘plan, then for all Armed Services, elaborating a new model for French Defence. Promoted to Brigadier in 2011, he supervised the reform of the Military High Command and was the Chief of Defence representative in the reform of the Ministerial Governance.
Leftenant-General, deputy to the Chief of Defence and Director General for Performance from 2014 until 2018, he directed the transformation of the French armed forces and oversaw all operating budgets of the armed forces, agencies and services (around €29 billion per year).
Appointed in 2018 by the Prime Minister as Director of the Institut des Hautes Etudes de Défense Nationale, he reengineered the Institute’s role and mission.
From 2021 until 2024, he joined the Inetum as Executive VP, member of the Executive Committee, General Manager for Defense and Security and later Executive Sponsor for Public Sector.
